Suros offers a variety of ATEC
®
handpiece configurations. As the chart below indicates, the specific
handpiece selected depends on user preference (9GA vs 12GA cutting cannula) and the type of imaging
equipment being used. Please note that Suros offers two specialized handpieces with a “petite” aperture
for stereotactic and MRI-guided biopsy procedures. The standard petite handpiece (ATEC0912-12) for
stereotactic-guided breast biopsy allows for breast compression to as little as 20mm. The ATEC
MRI
Access
™
petite handpiece (ATEC0914-12MR) for MRI-guided breast biopsy features a hemispherical
needle tip and allows for breast compression to as little as 16mm.
