MAINTENANCE GUIDE FOR A 115V - 230V SUREKAP SK600
AND THE SK600 PORTION OF AN SK6000
Mechanical Slip Clutch: 4 each (Ref. # B19)
•
Inspect these parts every six months or as often as necessary.
•
Replace when failure occurs or when corrosion prevents proper function and/or
adjustment of part.
•
These parts are not lubricated.
•
Failure to replace when necessary can cause excessive wear to the tightening disc and can
allow disc to damage the container cap.
Motor Brush (for Spindle and Gripper Belt Motors): 4 each (Ref. # N/A)
•
Inspect every six months or as often as necessary.
•
Replace when wear is significant or when failure occurs. Motor manufacturer
recommends replacing when worn down to a length of 5/8". Standard brushes have an
initial length of 1-1/4".
•
These parts are not lubricated.
•
Failure to replace when necessary can cause the motor to cease working.
Spindle Drive Roller Chain: 2 each (Ref. # E20, E21)
•
Lubricate every six months.
•
This part is factory lubricated with a light weight oil.
•
Failure to lubricate may cause premature wear to the chain and sprockets.
Stainless Steel Threaded Rod (Gripper Belt Slide Assembly): 4 each (Ref. # C7, C13,
C13A)
•
Coat with grease every twelve months or as often as necessary.
•
These parts are factory lubricated with anti-seize.
•
Failure to lubricate may cause parts to gall and/or seize within the slide blocks and may
allow for corrosion to take place.
Stainless Steel Threaded Rod (Spindle Cage Assembly): 6 each (Ref. # B4, B14)
•
Coat with grease every twelve months or as often as necessary.
•
These parts are factory lubricated with anti-seize.
•
Failure to lubricate may cause parts to gall and/or seize within the cage blocks and may
allow for corrosion to take place.
Thrust Washer, 1/16": 8 or 16 each (Ref. # D11)
•
Inspect every six months or as often as necessary and always when replacing the gripper
belts.
•
Replace when wear is significant.
•
Lubrication is not necessary.
•
Failure to replace when necessary can cause damage to the timing pulley and/or the
gripper belt plate.
