Important: All of the SCSI/SATA drive carriers must remain in the
drive bay to maintain proper cooling airfl ow.
Release Button
Installing/Removing SCSI/SATA Drives
The SCSI/SATA drive bays are located in the front of the chassis and are hot-
swap units, meaning that they can be installed and removed while the system is
running.
To remove a SCSI/SATA drive, fi rst push the colored release button located
beside the drive's LEDs.
Swing the handle fully out and use it to pull the drive carrier straight out (see
Figure 6-4).
