D-1 Configuring LAN Mode in BIOS Setup
BIOS setup offers users the option to set and preserve settings for LAN Pair default
mode. When set to [Yes], the LAN pairs set to the default mode after the system
completes the next BIOS Power On Self Test and also preserve the default settings
in NVRAM. After the first Power On cycle, the option will revert to [No], so BIOS
will not set LAN pair work mode again in future power cycles. The LAN pairs enter
default mode when system has power loss, power on or Watch Dog Timer expired
(when enabled). Notice that the LAN pair mode displayed in the setup options does
not represent the current LAN pair mode.
1.
To configure LAN Mode in BIOS setup, go to the “Advanced” tab and then the
“PCIe/PCI/PnP Configuration” tab.
2.
Highlight “Update LAN Pair Work Mode,” select “Yes” and select the LAN port
to select the desired mode. The mode change will take effective only after the
BIOS setting is saved and the motherboard is restarted.
