Fan Headers

The X7DVL-E/X7DVL-i has six fan

headers, designated FAN1 through

FAN6. Fan speed is controlled via

Thermal Management with a BIOS

setting. See the table on the right for

pin deﬁ nitions.

Serial Ports

The COM1 serial port is located be-

side the VGA port. COM2 is a header

on the serverboard located near the

printer connector (see serverboard

layout for location). See the table on

the right for pin deﬁ nitions.

LAN1/2 (Ethernet Ports)

Two Gb Ethernet ports (designated

LAN1 and LAN2) are located beside

the VGA port on the I/O backplane.

These ports accept RJ45 type ca-

bles.

Note:

Pin 10 is included on the header but not on

the port. NC indicates no connection.
