 guration

Use this feature to con

fi

 gure the IPMI LAN adapter with a network address as 

shown in the following graphics. 

Channel Number

 -  This feature displays the channel number.

Channel Number Status

 - This feature returns the channel status for the 

Channel Number selected above: "Channel Number is OK" or "Wrong Channel 
Number".

IP Address Source

This feature allows the user to select the source of the IP address for the system. 
If Static is selected, the user will need to manually enter the IP address for the 
system. If DHCP is selected, the BIOS will search for a DHCP (Dynamic Host 
Con

fi

 guration Protocol) server in the network that the system is attached to, and 

request the next available IP address. The options are 

DHCP

 and Static. If Static 

is selected, the following items will be available for con

fi

 guration.

IP Address 

BIOS will automatically enter the IP address of the machine you are using; how-
ever the IP address may be overwritten. The IP address should be in decimal 
and in dotted quad form (i.e., 192.168.10.253). The value of each three-digit 
number separated by dots should not exceed 255.

Subnet Mask

This item displays the current subnet mask setting for your IPMI connection. The 
value of each three-digit number separated by dots should not exceed 255.

Gateway Address 

BIOS will automatically enter the Gateway address of this machine; however it 
may be overwritten. Gateway addresses are 4-decimal numbers in dotted quad 
form (i.e., 192.168.10.253). The value of each 3-digit number separated by dots 
should not exceed 255.

Mac Address 

The BIOS will automatically enter the Mac address of this machine; however it 
may be overwritten. Mac addresses are 6 two-digit hexadecimal numbers (Base 
16, 0 ~ 9, A, B, C, D, E, F) separated by dots. (i.e., 00.30.48.D0.D4.60).
