Replacing a System Fan (Figure 6-2)

1.  Remove the chassis cover. If necessary, do this with the power on in order to 

determine which fan has failed, then power-down the system and disconnect 
the chassis power cord.

2.  Remove the screws securing the fan housing to the 

fl

 oor of the chassis. See 

the illustrations below to determine the location of the screws for the fan that 
is being removed. Set these screws aside for later use.
