Replacing A Damaged Barrier
• If the barrier becomes damaged, the barrier shall be replaced
with the manufacturer’s barrier for this appliance.
• For use with barrier Part No. J7510 (Contemporary Facade).
Follow installation instructions.
Removing The Damaged Barrier
Contemporary Facade

Figure 33
)
1. Make sure the unit is off and cold.
2. Remove the contemporary facade from the unit by gripping both sides
firmly and lifting up slightly and then out, away from the unit.
3. Lay the facade face down on a soft surface that will not scratch the
paint.
4. Using a 3/8” socket, remove the six nuts holding the left (1) and right
(2) sight obstructer.
5. Remove the barrier.
Installation is the reverse of removal:
1. Replace barrier with Part No. J7510.
2. Place sight obstructers back over the threaded studs taking note that
the upper and lower horizontal bar ends line up with grooves in sight
obstructers
(see Detail A in
Figure 33
)
.
3. Reinstall the 3/8” nuts.
4. Reinstall facade to the unit.
