Operating Options

 - DRI2530TEN Models Only

Burner ON/OFF Switch Installation:

The burner ON/OFF switch on your gas appliance is used to turn the burner

on and off. This switch can be installed in the hole in the right side of

the top surround panel (see Option 1) or in the hole in the control panel

in the control compartment (see Option 2).

Note:

 Wire connections on

provided switch are reversible.

Option 1 - Switch Installation On Surround Panel

(see

Figure 16

)

 -

1.  Disconnect the switch from the extension wires to which it is attached,

then unscrew the plastic nut from the back side of the switch.

2.  Insert the switch into the hole located on the upper right side of the

surround then reinstall the plastic nut onto switch.

3.  Install the three plastic adhesive backed wire restraints (found in the

supplied hardware kit) to the backside of the surround panel. Route

the switch wires through these restraints and up to the switch. Care

should be taken to ensure the wires do not come in contact with the

hot surfaces of the fire box. Reconnect the wires to the switch.

Option 2 - Switch Installation On Control Panel

(see

Figure 17

)

 -

Note: It will aid in the ease of installation if you remove the control panel

(see

Figure 15

)

. The panel has keyhole slots where it mounts to the base.

Loosen the two nuts securing the panel using

3/8"

 wrench. Carefully

move out the panel far enough to access the back. Do not pull the panel

out too far or it may pull apart some of the connections.

1.  Carefully cut out the burner switch hole in the control panel label.

2.  Disconnect the switch from the extension wires to which it is attached,

then disconnect these wires from the green and white wires on the

on the main harness.  The extension wires are no longer needed and

can be removed from the appliance.

3.  Unscrew the plastic nut from the back side of the switch.  Insert the

switch into the hole on the control panel then reinstall the plastic nut

onto switch.

4.  Connect the green and white wires from the main wire harness to the

switch. Care should be taken to ensure the wires are positioned so they

will not come in contact with the hot surfaces of the fire box. Reinstall

control panel, if necessary, and verify there are no wires coming in

contact with the fire box.
