Positioning the Light

Make sure that the installation location for
the product has an unobstructed view of
the sun’s path.

Also, note that the position of the sun will
vary throughout the year, being at its lowest
point relative to the horizon in winter
months.

Orient the solar panel(s) towards the
equator (towards South in the Northern
Hemisphere, towards North in the Southern
Hemisphere).

If using a magnetic compass, be sure to
take into account the installed location’s
magnetic declination (the difference
between true north and the direction a
compass needle points in a given location).
