Note: The minimum dimensions between the Gully Flange and top surface of Gully
Tile or Grating (which requires to be flush with finished flooring) is 13 mm.  This
dimension cannot be reduced but if required the Gully Tile or Grating can be raised.
To do this remove the centre from the Dust Cap/Extension Ring and solvent weld
the Extension Ring to the upstand of the Clamp Ring.  If further additional height
is required, an appropriate length 110 mm BS4514 PVC-U soil pipe can be solvent
welded between the Extension Ring and the underside of the Gully Tile or Grating.

1.  Unpack the box and check contents.
2.  Remove Gully tile and Grating from the Gully Body and keep safe until required.
3.  Cut hole in floor to accommodate Gully Body (timber floor max. 160 mm diameter).
4.  Push home 22 mm suction pipe and hand tighten nut with seal in place.
5.  Protect switch cable with appropriate conduit butted up to Gully Body.  Ensure at least

100 mm of free cable remains within the Gully Body for future maintenance.

6.  Check switch for continuity.
7.  Set Gully Body into the floor sub-structure to a sufficient depth to enable the Gully Tile or

Grating to be flush or slightly below the finished floor level (see note above).

8.  Test drainage system for air and water tightness.
9.  Once the Gully Body is set into the sub-structure and connected to the drainage system

the Dust Cap/Extension Ring should be placed into position on the Clamp Ring but not

solvent welded at this stage.

10.  Concrete Floors - make good around the Gully ensuring that the Gully Body is fully
 supported.

DO NOT rely solely on support under the Gully Flange.

11.  Timber Floors - secure Gully to floor surface by drilling out indentations in Flange with

5 mm drill and fixing with 4 x No. 8 Stainless Steel or Plated Countersunk Head Screws

(not supplied).  Ensure that the Gully Body is fully supported.

DO NOT rely solely on

support under the Gully Flange.

12.  A good quality Waterproofing Membrane should be employed to prevent water

penetration to the floor structure and cut a hole 110 mm in diameter directly over

the Gully.  Ensure that the underside of the Membrane is sealed to the flange of the Gully

Body and secure the Clamp Ring to the Gully Body with the 4 x M6 Stainless Steel

 Screws

provided.

13.  To install the Gully Tile and Grating, remove the Dust Cap/Extension Ring and using

appropriate solvent cement, weld the Gully Tile or Grating to the upstand of the Clamping

Ring or utilise raising pieces (see note above regarding the use of raising piece).

14.  Once the Gully Tile or Grating is correctly positioned the floor tiling can be completed,

making good around the Gully Tile with the same waterproof grout as used on the floor

 tiles.
15.  Ensure the Sensor assembly is tight, this can be done by using the box spanner provided,

gently by hand, then  push home the Sensor Cover with the 12 mm hole aligned to outlet

(see Fig. 10).

16.  Prior to hand over, a visual inspection of the Gully should be carried out to ensure it is

clean and free from debris.

17.  Charge Gully with water and carry out final air test.

Push home sensor cover with
12 mm hole aligned to outlet.
