7.4 Adjustment of the hand-crank position

picture.11

The Hand-Bike is clamped to the wheelchair; the front-wheels are not lifted yet
(picture 11). The handles should have a distance of 1-2 cm from the thighs when the cranks
are hanging down. If the distance is not correct, the Hand-Bike needs to be tended or lifted.
Therefore you have to loosen the bolts S1L and S1R. Please make sure the angle connectors
do not slide out of the cross tubes. In order to avoid tension on the frame also loosen the bolts
S3L and S3R on the side tubes (picture 8). If the handles are too far off or too close to the
upper body you can also change the length of the side tubes (bolts S3L and S3R have to be
loose). In that case, also loosen the bolts S1L and S1R to avoid tension. Tighten all bolts
properly before lifting the front wheels. Check again the adjustments after lifting the front
wheels and correct if necessary. If the distance between upper body and handles is too big or if
the handles are touching the knees, the crank unit can be pulled out one, six or eight cm. (tooth
belt model). Please contact your dealer.

Tip:

Please always use the enclosed

long

 Allen key to tighten the

bolts (6 mm).

This Allen key enables you to tighten the bolts correctly.

Please note the torque-list in the appendix.
