Caution: Never insert your fingers into
the grinding or milling head! After the
machine has been switched off, the
grinding / milling head will still rotate
for a time. Take care that parts of your
body do not come into contact with the
rotating parts. Do not lay down the machine while
head is still turning!
Using the machine
Safe operation of this machine requires two-handed
operation for maximum protection and resistance to
the start-up and operating torque. To avoid loss of
control and thereby any damage or injury, the tool
should be held properly and securely WITH BOTH
HANDS. Protect your eyes from injury with adequate
safety glasses or goggles.
WARNING: Keep the cord behind the
operator and away from grinding area
to prevent it from becoming entangled
and damaged.
The side handle can be attached to eit-
her side of the machine
Caution: Never apply too much pressu-
re to the machine. Let grind the ma-
chine.
Milling depth regulation
The milling depth may be regulated by moving the
extractor hood. In order to do so, all 3 black adjusting
screws have to be loosened.
NOTE: The milling depth can be adjusted
by a removal thickness of 1 mm to 6 mm.

WARNING: Dust developing while
grinding and milling can be harmful to
one’s health, and be flammable or ex
-
plosive. When operating the SSF 1200
there should always be a powerful va-
cuum cleaner connected (VacTec 25,
art. no. 651500). In addition to that, please always
wear your personal protective equipment (gloves /
dust mask / safety glasses / overall). Make sure that
the working area is ventilated well.
The lifespan of milling discs are increased conside-
rably through the removal of dust particles.
Note: The extraction capacity of the material being
processed depends on the suction capacity of the
vacuum cleaner and on the work to be carried out.
When working on soft surfaces with a high removal
thickness (e.g. on sandy plaster) an emission of ma-
terial can not be avoided. In case of high amounts
of removal we recommend to use the STORCH coll-
ecting container for coarse dirt particles (art. no.
628100)
