Replacing Carbon Brushes
The carbon brushes are a normal wearing part and
must be replaced when they reach their wear limit.
CAUTION: To guarantee the electrical
safety of the device the carbon brushes
should only be replaced by authorised
STORCH service stations.
Unplug the machine before opening
the machine housing. Always replace the brushes as
a pair.

Using pliers, push the brush spring upwards and

slide old carbon brush out of the brush holder.
Unscrew the screw to remove the brush lead. The

Replace the motor cover.

Caution!
The Auto Stop feature stops the machine before the
carbon brushes are finished and protects the motor.
Therefore if the machine comes to a stop without any
apparent reason, the brushes need to be checked/re-
placed.

NOTE: To reinstall the same brushes, first
make sure the brushes go back in the way
they came out. The motor performance
can otherwise be affected and the brushes
will be subject to more wear and tear. In
order to guarantee perfect operation and reliability of
the machine it is recommended to have any repair,
cleaning and lubrication work done at least once a
year at an authorized STORCH service station.
