Changing the wick
Burnt wicks that no longer absorb enough spirit and must be replaced.
Unscrew the burner tubes (12), and pull out the old wick from
underneath. Insert the non-frayed end of the new wick into its tube
from underneath by rotating it gently. Then screw on the burner tubes
again firmly. See video.
Tip:
The wick is easier to insert, if it is cut thinner at the end and
soaked in spirit.

Flame regulation
The lever regulates the flame steplessly. Push it up for a bigger
flame and down for a smaller flame.
Extinguishing
Press the regulating lever down to reduce the flame before
blowing it out. Place the snuffer on the rechaud (8).
Caution: Fire hazard
Burners must not be stacked on top of each other.
Burners must only be stored, once the flame has been extinct and
the snuff cap has been installed.
Jammed reflector
Cleaning the burner tube and reflector
If the reflector is stuck on the burner tube and the flame cannot be
adjusted, the burner tube and reflector are probably contaminated
with soot and methylated spirit residue (11).
This is easy to clean. Proceed as follows: Remove the grid and reflector.
Clean the burner tube and then the reflector (inner tube) with a damp
cloth. Reassemble the components – and finished. See video.
