Please note:
Read the user guide carefully. Persons not familiar with the operating instructions, as well as
children, should not use the appliance.
Use the appliance only as specifi ed. Any misuse is forbidden because of the dangers involved.
When used for the fi rst time, electrical appliances emit a smell typical of electrical heating
devices, which disappears after a few minutes. This smell is completely normal and does not
impair the quality of the product. Before you use the appliance for the fi rst time, wash the
four raclette pans with hot water.
Power supply and mains cable
Plug the appliance into an earthed socket. The voltage specifi ed on the rating plate
must
comply with the mains voltage. Under no cir cum stances use the appliance if the mains cable
or plug is faulty. Never leave the mains cable hanging over an edge and never pinch the
ca ble. Ensure that the cable (and, of course, any extension cable used) is at ta ched in such
a way that no bo dy can trip over it. Keep the mains ca ble away from heat. Danger of fi re and
short-circuiting! Renewal or modifi cation of the mains cable or plug should be carried out
only by a qualifi ed, professional electrician. If you use an ex ten si on ca ble, fi rst en su re that it
is in per fect wor king order.
Appliance
Switch the appliance on. The control lamp illuminates. We recommend you to pre-heat the
appliance for about 10 minutes. Individual Raclette Pans can be «parked» here if you want a
short break during your meal.
The appliance becomes hot during operation. Never touch the hot sur face. Do not transport
the appliance until it has cooled down com ple te ly. Extreme care is required if the appliance
is used in the vicinity of children.
Never leave an operating appliance unsupervised or
when hot
. Under no circumstances cover the appliance when in operation. The underlying
surface should be dry, non-slip and level. Ensure a safe distance of 50 cm to walls, housings
and other surfaces: fi re hazard! Use only original accessories.
