Cleaning the cooktop
• Make sure to clean the cooktop surface after each use; a soiled cooking
zone does not transfer all of the heat.
• Wipe the cooktop with a soft cloth or sponge, dampened in lukewarm
water and a little dish detergent. Rinse with water, but do not use
excessive amounts of water, which can damage the heating elements.
Dry the cooktop with a clean, dry cloth. This will not only remove streaks
but also protect it against corrosion.
• Clean tough stains using a nonabrasive detergent, or warm vinegar.
• Particular food residues or other more problematic deposits can best be
removed with a ceramic cooktop scraper or a ceramic cooktop cleaner
(not included). See the table below for specific cleaning instructions.

Other Useful Information
CAUTION!
• Always allow the cooktop surface to cool before cleaning the cooktop.
• You may find it easier to clean some deposits while the cooktop surface
is still warm. However, wait until the surface is safe to touch and take care
not to burn yourself if cleaning it when it is still warm.
• Residues from cleaning agents left on the cooktop surface will damage it.
Always remove residues with warm water and a little washing-up liquid.
• Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents (such as scouring powders,
abrasive stones, pumice stones, wire brushes and so on) or sharp objects
that may scratch the cooktop surface, causing irreversible damage.
• Take care to avoid injury when using a ceramic hob scraper. Retract the
blade when you have finished with it, and keep it out of reach of children.
