Locking the ceramic cooktop
• To lock the ceramic cooktop, press the Safety lock button while the
appliance is switched on (Fig. 11). The indicator next to the button will light
up to indicate that the safety lock feature has been activated. All buttons
on the control panel will now be disabled, except the On/Off button.
• To disable the safety lock feature, press the Safety lock button again. The
lock indicator light will disappear from the display and you are then able
to adjust the heat level of any zone on the cooktop.
The cooktop timer
Your cooktop has a timer which you can set (from 1 to 99 minutes) for each
cooking zone to switch it off at the set time.
At the end of the countdown
period, a buzzer will sound
and the cooking zone will be switched off
.
To stop the buzzer, press the Timer button.
• Select the cooking zone and heat level.
• Press the Timer button (Fig. 12-A), and then use the Up/Down buttons to
set the countdown time (Fig. 12-B).
• Each time the Up/Down button is pressed, the timer display will increase
or decrease in 1 minute increments. The timer display (Fig. 13, page 20) is
located above the Timer button.
