Cleaning the truck
Disconnect the battery before cleaning the
truck.
Be very careful using steam jet cleaners or
products with a strong degreasing effect. They
dilute the grease inside the sealed-for-life
bearings, and relubrication is impossible.
These cleaning methods damage the bear-
ings.
When using a cleaning appliance, avoid ex-
posing electrical circuits, motors or insulating
panels to direct jets. Protect these items be-
fore starting the cleaning procedure.
WARNING
Use of compressed air
It is advisable to wear protection goggles and a
mask.
If using compressed air, first remove stubborn
dirt with a cold cleaning agent.
Before carrying out lubrication operations,
thoroughly clean:
●
The oil filling openings and the areas
around them
●
The grease nipples
Dry the truck after cleaning.
If, despite taking all of these precautions, wa-
ter enters the motors, the truck must be re-
turned to service. This operation prevents rust
forming (it dries out by its own heat). The mo-
tors can also be dried using compressed air.
NOTE
A truck that is cleaned frequently will also re-
quire more frequent lubrication.
