9 Use/routine
9.1 Move and immobilise the bed
ATTENTION
Optionally, the position of the steering lock can be defined as the customer requires. To
move the bed ergonomically, please adjust the mattress base to a normal working height
(approximately 45 cm upwards). This position makes it easiest to reach the castor brake
pedal.
If you wish to manoeuvre the bed within the room with the mattress base height lowered
and the safety sides not raised, please raise the safety sides temporarily near the brake
pedal to make it as easy as possible to operate the brake.
The bed is equipped with four lockable castors which can be centrally operated using a brake
pedal at the foot end of the bed.
One of the castors at the head end of the bed has a steering lock that can be activated. This
makes it easier to move the bed in a straight line.
Material damage
Failure to heed this warning may result in damage to property due to disregarding the brake
signal. If the brake is released without unplugging the mains cable from the socket, a signal
tone will sound. This signal tone alerts you:

To the possibility that the mains cable, the plug and the socket could be damaged.
•
To possible risks of falls when getting in or out of bed when the bed is not immobilised.
The signal tone goes off automatically after 5 minutes.
