8.9 Decommissioning
Press the two marked buttons until the continuous
signal tone stops.
If the bed is not used for an extended period, please follow the instructions below for taking
the bed out of service safely and ensuring ideal conditions for its re-use:
• Clean and disinfect the bed (see Cleaning and disinfection

• Adjust the mattress base to a horizontal home position at its lowest level
• Lock the electrical adjustment functions to prevent them from being activated acciden-
tally or by unauthorised persons
• Engage the brakes on the bed
• Pay attention to the ambient conditions required for storage (see Ambient condi-
tions

If equipped with lead-acid batteries (optional equipment) :
• Charge the integrated rechargeable battery by connecting the bed to the mains elec-
tricity supply for about 8-10 hours, and then unplug the mains cable from the socket
and hang it on the headboard with the fixing clip.
• Repeat this procedure every 3 months to maintain battery performance.
If equipped with lithium-ion batteries (optional equipment):
• Charge the integrated rechargeable battery by connecting the bed to the mains elec-
tricity supply for about 10-12 hours, and then unplug the mains cable from the socket
and hang it on the headboard with the fixing clip.
• Repeat this procedure every 6 months to maintain battery performance.
