Load switch off function
This function is operated using the electronic load switch (fitted [type LA] or external) or with an external synchro module
(type SG) and does not require a limit switch. Internal mechanical limit stops provide exact limits without disruptive stroke
after-running. When these limit stops are reached or block a drive in the UP-direction, the electronic load switch off
switches the drive off thanks to the increased engine power. As the motor power is proportional to the shear and tensile
forces this switch off takes place at exactly defined forces.
Caution:
- Destruction of the motor-
Never operate the linear drive without power cut-off or synchro module (see separate Technical information)
Operate the load switch in general with 24 V protective extra low voltage.
Assembly
Fit the casement pedestal centred to the load on the window profile.Push the locking ring bracket onto the sliding shaft
drive unit. If necessary, widen the locking ring slightly using a screwdriver. Determine the locking ring position and tighten
the locking ring with starting power of 11 Nm (+/- 0,5 Nm) counter hard, so that the sliding shaft drive unit cannotslip.
Screw the sliding tube in completely (internal stop) then screw it out again by half a turn and align it to the cable duct.Fix
the sliding tube to the casement hinge bracket and align the sliding shaft drive unit at a right angle to the window.
Note
: The linear drive swivels round its fastening centre during operation. If there is uncertainty about the swivel move-
ment and the possible collision points, move the linear drive up completely using auxiliary power and check for possible
collision causes and correct if necessary. Mark the drill holes for the locking ring bracket when the window is closed.
Screw the locking ring bracket tightly to the window profile. Make sure that the bracket is screwed in tightly, the sliding
shaft drive unit opens and closes the window with the forces stated on the power cut-off. Connection between the locking
ring and the bracket holder by means of a locking pin: Place the locking pin in the locking ring, do not fix by a locknut,
as the drive unit must be able to swivel. Lock the counternut tightly to the locking pin. Dismantle manual locking mecha-
nisms fromthe window. Pull the connection cable out of the cable guide approx. up to the mounting bracket.
Fine adjustment of the CLOSED position
In order not to place excessive strain on the window seal and the mechanical fastening, it is recommended that fine adjust
-
ment takes place when in the CLOSED position. If the drive does not reach its internal mechanicals top then it will pull with
the force stated on the power cut-off. The internal mechanical stop is the position of the slide tube when moved in complete-
ly. During assembly, the sliding tube has been screwed out by ½ turn, therefore the sliding tube is this small distance away
from the internal stop, and the drive unit pulls the window into the seals at the stated force. If the seals are very soft they
will possibly eventually be pushed together. This can be reduced in the following manner: Slacken the drive in the clamping
screws when the window is closed, then close the drive completely. Now pull the window sufficiently closed on the drive and
counter the clamping screws tightly. The drive will now only move to this CLOSED position.
