Install front 1/4 in. basswood wing struts to
receiving slots in front of fuselage. Test fit,
then bond using thick CA glue.

On sheet FREDe-1212, 1/32 plywood, locate
gussets to double basswood struts. Using
the plan set as a guide laminate one each
vertical
and
horizontal
grain gussets on
either side of each basswood strut. Use the
provided 0.075 in. wire to assist in aligning
gussets. Bond gussets with thick CA glue
and clamp in place while glue sets.

Make a 1/4 in. “L” bend in each of the two
provided 0.075” x 2-1/4 in. lengths of wire to
create wing retention pins. Test fit these to
wing struts and wing mount tabs. Use a small
round file open up holes if necessary.

On sheet FREDe-1212, 1/32 plywood, locate
one each of the
vertical
and
horizontal
grain
wing mount tabs. Laminate cross-grained
tabs together to create a single tab of 1/16 in.
thickness. Repeat process so that you have
a total of four tabs.
Tip: Bond with thick CA
and use 0.075 wire to align tabs.

Open pockets in underside of wing to receive
wing mount tabs.

Fit tabs to underside of wing assembly at
pockets opened in previous step. Bond using
thick CA glue.
