5.10 Video Camera
Module Installation or
Removal
Important:
• High-definition (HD) is approximately 2,000,000-pixel resolution
• Standard-definition (SD) is approximately 380,000-pixel
resolution
Installation
NOTE: The STERIS
®
HD Camera Module alignment post is keyed to
allow installation into HD-ready lightheads only. The SD camera
module is designed to install into either HD- or SD-ready lightheads.
1. Rotate lighthead until lens faces the room ceiling.
2. Remove the standard handle by unthreading it from the support
mounting ring.
3. The camera module is secured to the lighthead by threading it
into the same support used by the standard handle. Refer to
Figure 5-14 .
a. Align the post with recess, this should align system
connector properly, and install camera module into
lighthead.
b. Select Camera Menu 1 on the control center.
c. Verify all functions of the camera operate correctly using the
control center.
4. Once camera module functions are verified, press the OFF touch
pad on the face of the control center.
Removal
1. Rotate lighthead until perpendicular to floor.
2. Unthread camera housing from mounting ring and remove.
3. Install standard handle.
CAUTION – POSSIBLE
EQUIPMENT DAMAGE HAZARD:
• The camera module tends to
roll if placed on a flat surface.
Camera must be cradled in a
carton, tray or similar item
when not in use or when
transported.
• Avoid damage to lighthead.
Standard definition (SD) and
high definition (HD)
connectors are not compatible.
Do not force a SD camera
module into lighthead
receptacle for a HD camera
module.
