6.4 - Braking system adjustments
The Adjustable Goose-neck Braking System on inclined terrain serves as a means to
avoiding side swipes, providing a greater stability during the job. It leaves the factory fully
adjusted, but it is field adjustable, depending on the need and application. To do so, simply tighten
or loosen the spring nut and the brake pads against the brake disc.
6.5 - Conveyor mounting and adjusting
The conveyor assembly is like a “drawer”, which is mounted internally to the Hercules
chassis by 6 bolts. In order to mount or perform any maintenance it is necessary to remove the
protective components and the main distribution tank, which are found in the rear of the machine. It
is important to emphasis that these components should be adjusted according to items 6.8, 6.9,
6.10 and 6.12, so as not to compromise the capabilities of the machine.
Procedure in case of loose or misaligned the conveyor:
- Loose conveyor
Tighten the adjustment bolts (see Fig. 04, page 10), maintain the same number of turns on both
sides, thus avoiding misalignment issues.
- Conveyor misalignment
Remove the conveyor and place it on saw-horses or leveled stands.
Withthe drive-shaft hooked-up to the tractor, move slightly the conveyor and check to see in which
direction it runs.
For example, a conveyor which is running to the right side. With the conveyor stopped, tighten the
right side adjustment bolt, and loosen slightly the left side adjustment screw.
Roll the conveyor again to verify adjustment.
Repeat this process until the conveyor is centered in relation to the traction roller.
6.6 - CONFIGURATION SPECIFIC COMPONENT MOUNTING
The Hércules 10000/Stainless uses two types of working configurations: one to work with
limestone and the other with granular products (fertilizers and seeds). Each one has its own
distinctive components.
