NOTE
If the
Phantom PS2000
does not receive position data
from the polled vessel, the LCD will show “
NO POSITION
DATA
.”
11.7.3 Receiving a Position Request
When a position request call is received from another vessel, a ringing alarm
will sound and POS REQUEST will be show in the LCD. Operation and trans-
ceiver function differs depending on the setting of section “
11.7.1 Setting up
Position Reply
.”
Automatically reply:
1. When a position request call is received, a calling alarm
sounds 4 times. Then requested position coordinates are
transmitted automatically to the vessel requesting your ves-
sels position.
2. To exit from position request display, press any key.
Manually reply:
1. When a position request call is received from an-
other vessel, “
RECEIVED POS REQUEST
” will ap-
pear on the LCD and a ringing alarm sounds 4 times.
2. Press the [
] key to see the MMSI of the vessel
transmitting the Position Request.
