Commissioning, maintenance, repair
• Only have commissioning and repairs performed by qualified and authorised persons
(see chapter "Personnel qualification").
• Before commissioning, make sure that the device is not damaged.
• Perform only maintenance work described in these operating instructions.
• The device contains components that can be damaged by electrostatic discharge.
Before carrying out work on the device, the body must be discharged on earthed metal
parts or an ESD wrist strap must be put on.

The Ex i voltage supply is used for the intrinsically safe supply of field devices,
e.g. 3- or 4-wire transmitters, solenoid valves, light barriers and controllers.
