Switch 8549/1
 Remove the cover (1) from the main terminal using a screwdriver. Insert the alligator
clip (4) until it engages into the contact.
 Tighten the mounting screw of the main terminal (3) with 25 - 30 Nm.
 Remove the insulation from the conductor (5). Insert the conductor into the alligator
clip and make sure that the conductor outside the terminal is completely isolated.
 Tighten the mounting screws of the alligator clip (2) with 1.5 ... 1.8 Nm.
8.2 Earth Connection
 Connect the earth conductor to the PE terminal.
8.3 Mains Connection of Auxiliary Contacts
Non-intrinsically safe auxiliary contacts
 Remove the insulation from the conductor.
 Insert the conductor into the terminals and make sure that the conductor outside the
terminal is completely isolated.
 Tighten the mounting screws of the terminals with 1.5 Nm.
 Lay the conductor in the lateral cable duct in order to avoid a crosswise wiring of the
auxiliary electric circuits to the main circuits.

 Remove the insulation from the conductor.

Insert the conductor into the terminals and make sure that the conductor outside the
terminal is completely isolated.

Tighten the mounting screws of the terminals with 1.5 Nm.

Insert the conductor into the cable duct (1) of the cover and fasten it by means of the
lug (2).

Lay the conductor on the side of the switch in order to avoid a crosswise wiring of the
auxiliary electric circuits to the main circuits.

Allowed cross-section diameters: 1.5 ... 2.5 mm

