Basic safety precautions should always be 

fol lo  w ed  when  using  electrical  appliances, 

including the following:

Read  all  instructions  carefully  be fo re 

first use.

Make sure the appliance is unplugged 

when not in use, before putting on or 

ta king off parts, and before cleaning.

Do  not  operate  any  appliance  with

cracked or chipped.

when us  ing the rice cooker.

Always ensure that the outside of the 

inner coo k ing pot is dry prior to use. 

If  cooking  pot  is  returned  to  cooker 

when wet, it will da  ma ge this product 

causing  it  to  mal func ti on.

Use extreme caution when opening 

the  lid  du r ing  or  after  cooking.  Hot 

steam  will  es ca pe  and  may  cause 

burns.

During the cooking process, you may 

see steam coming from the vent on 

the  lid.  This  is  normal.  Do  not  cover, 

touch or obstruct steam vent.

Do not touch hot surfaces. Use han-

dles or knobs, and wear kitchen gloves.

Store rice cooker in a cool, dry place.

 20 

Use appliance on a stable flat, dry, and 

heat-resistant surface.

Always  attach  plug  to  appliance  first, 

then plug cord into the wall outlet. To 

disconnect,  switch  the  appliance  off 

first, then remove plug from wall out
