9.6 AVC Video licence
Use of the images recorded with this equipment is
permitted as supporting evidence of a professional survey
or report. This product is licensed under the AVC Patent
Portfolio License for the personal and non-commercial
use of a consumer to (i) Encode video in compliance
with the AVC standard (‘AVC Video’) and/or (ii) Decode
AVC video that was encoded by a consumer engaged
in a personal and non-commercial activity and/or was
obtained from a video provider licensed to provide AVC
video. No license is granted or shall be implied for any
other use. Additional Information may be obtained from
MPEG LA, L.L.C. See http://www.mpegla.com.
9.7 Defect codes text file
The defect codes file is a plain text file containing a list of
all defect codes and their description. This file must be
named “defect_codes.txt” and be saved in the root of
your Compact Flash card.
You can easily create or edit this file using any plain text
editor like Notepad for Windows or TextEdit for Mac OS
X. Alternatively, you can create your file in most word
processers and export the document to plain text using
the Save As or Export function depending on your word
processing package.
NOTE: By default TextEdit for Mac OS X produces rich
text files, which cannot be used as the defect code file.
To change to plain text format go to Format -> Make
Plain Text.
The structure of this file is simple:
Each row is a new entry. The defect code starts from
the first character and the description is placed after
one or more tab characters. Table 9.6 describes the
correct structure of the defect_codes.txt file. Note that
the >> symbol is a representation of the tab character for
illustration purposes only. A tab character is inserted when
you press the tab key on your computer’s keyboard.
