Normal layout:
This is the standard layout optimised to make use of
the entire screen (See Figure 4.3). OSD information
fields and overlaid text are positioned at the very edges
of the display.

TV layout:
This layout is optimised for a DVD Recorder/TV screen
(See Figure 4.4). OSD information fields and overlaid text
are positioned in the graphic safe area of the display.
Consult Section 8.7 for more details on producing TV
compatible recordings.

Custom Layout:
This layout is customisable. The position of the 4 OSD
information fields can be moved anywhere on the screen
(See Figure 4.5).

CAUTION: Be careful not to overlap the OSD
fields as this will affect their readability on the screen
and in recordings.
Time and Date OSD:
You can hide or move these OSD fields around the screen
(custom layout only):
Press TIME to enter the Time OSD menu or DATE
to enter the Date OSD menu.
Use the arrow keys to position the OSD field
(custom layout only).
Press RSTOR to restore the OSD field position to
the normal layout.
Press On/Off to toggle the OSD field visibility.
Press OK to confirm your choice and to exit the
menu.
Counter OSD:
In custom layout you can also move the counter OSD
field around the screen. You cannot hide this OSD.
Press COUNT to enter the counter OSD menu
(custom layout only).
Use the arrow keys to position the OSD field.
Press RSTOR to restore the OSD field position to
the normal layout.
Press OK to confirm your choice and to exit the
menu.
4.5.3 System menu timeout
You can choose whether to have the system menu
constantly visible on the screen or for it to disappear after
20 seconds.
