FUNCTIONAL DATA
When the instrument works as a level
transmitter, its range is always defined by the
displacer (length). On the other hand, when
the instrument measures density or interface
its displacer is completely immersed in the
fluid (or in the fluids); this means that the
piezoresistive sensor establishes the working
limits of the transmitter.
Relative density difference (nominal span):
equal to 1.42 (in fact for the measurements in
open vessel the top fluid density is 0).
Minimum span
: Δp = 0.1 (for interface or
density measurements).
Moreover the best measure resolution is
obtained working with the nominal density
difference (1.42). In other words, decreasing
of measuring span determinates lower output
resolution (Ru %) as per following relation:
Ru% = 0.01 x 0.75 x 1.42 / (Measuring Span)
TRANSMITTER PARAMETERS
The available display and setting parameters
are:
Measuring span:
possibility to change from
10% to 100% of the nominal span.
Zero adjustment:
digital calibration ± 15%.
Linearity adjustment:
5 points within the
nominal range (in factory).
Low/upper range values:
they can be set
within nominal range providing that the span
> minimum span.
Damping:
digitally adjustable from 0 to 60 sec
(minimum response time ~ 0.1 sec)
Reverse output:
automatically obtained via
software.
Transfer function:
linear/density, selectable
via software.
Self test:
In case of malfunction the analog
output is forced to the fail-safe state 3.85mA
or 21mA.
Measuring units:
4 different level units or
density or % of the measuring span, selectable
via software
.
