11. Calculating BMI
The Bodymass Index (BMI) is a rough guide to whether a person's weight is normal, too low or too high.
The computer can calculate your BMI from four individual values:
•
With the treadmill stationary, press the
'BMI'
button on the control panel.
•
Enter
age
with key
'SPEED +' / 'SPEED -'.
Confirm with the
'MODE'
button (13 - 80 years).
•
Enter
gender
with
'SPEED +' / 'SPEED -'
. Confirm with
'MODE'
(MA (male), FE (female))
•
Enter
body height
with
'SPEED +' / 'SPEED -'
. Confirm with
'MODE'
(1.2 - 2.5 metres)
•
Enter
weight
with
'SPEED +' / 'SPEED -'
(30 - 200 kg)
•
Confirm with
'MODE'
. The BMI is calculated and displayed.
Please note that the BMI only provides rough reference values that cannot be used medically. If
necessary, consult medically trained persons in order to be able to classify the results correctly and, if
necessary, take more accurate measurings.
12. Cleaning and maintenance
12.1 CLEANING
•
After each use, wipe sweat from the device with a slightly wetted cloth.
•
Never allow moisture or humidity to reach the computer or other electrical or electronic components.
•
Do not use abrasives or solvents.
12.2 MAINTENANCE
•
Before and after each training session, check that
the device is in perfect condition
. Also check that
all fastening parts and protective covers are in place and intact. Tighten bolts and nuts if necessary.
•
Before each training session, check
the correct function of the safety clip
as follows.
1. Stand on the side rails.
2. Start the treadmill at low speed.
3. Pull off the safety clip. The treadmill must stop immediately.
4. The treadmill may not restart when the safety clip is removed.
•

In case of defective or missing parts, malfunctions and in all cases of doubt, do not continue to use
the device. Contact the customer service.
12.3 LUBRICATING
For proper functioning and long life of the device, the running belt must be adequately lubricated with
silicone oil. There are thin tubes on the underside of the device as a lubrication system.
12.3.1 Lubrication and inspection intervals
•
Refill with silicone oil after the first 25 hours of operation (or 2-3 months).
•
Check the lubrication regularly.
•
Top up with silicone oil at least every 50 operating hours (or 5-8 months).
12.3.2 Checking lubrication:
•
Make sure that the electrical supply plug of the device is disconnected.
•
Lift the running belt on one side. Run your finger over the top of the running deck under the running belt.
- If the running deck feels slightly oily, the lubrication is sufficient.
- However, if the running deck feels dry, you need to top up with silicone oil.
