This  manual  will  walk  you  through  the  installation  of  the  scoreboard  step  by  step,  from  deciding

where  to  install  the  scoreboard  to  testing  the  installed  system.    If at  any  time  during  the  installation
you have a question to which  the answer cannot be found in  this manual, please do not  hesitate to
call Scoreboard Service Company (800) 411-3136.  Technicians are on call 24 hours a day to answer

Following  is  an  overview  of  the  steps  involved  in  the  installation  of  the  scoreboard.    In  order  to

make the installation process as quick and easy as possible, follow these steps in order:

1)

Review the architect’s specifications below.

2)

Determine the scoreboard’s location and orientation and install the mounting poles/beams.

3) Join one DSP-8 sponsor section with sections A, B, and C using two of the four 18

’ mounting

angle  irons  creating  a  left  section  assembly,  and  join  the  next  DSP-8  sponsor  section  with
sections  D,  E,  F,  and  G    using  the  remaining  two  18

’  mounting  angle  irons  creating  a  right

section assembly.

4) Connect wiring and install crossover bushings between cabinets A/Band B/C in the left section

assembly and between cabinets D/E, E/F, and F/G in the right section assembly.

5) Mount the left section assembly to the mounting poles/beams.
6) Mount the right section assembly to the mounting poles/beams.
7) Connect wiring and install crossover bushings between cabinets C (in the left section assembly)

and D (in the right section assembly).

8) Install  any  options;  such  as  sponsor  panels,  horns,  or  protective  screens  according  to  the

installation instructions included with each option.

9) Run  and  connect  the  control  cable  for  cable-controlled  systems.    No  additional  installation  is

necessary  for  Wireless  Remote  Control  systems  as  the  wireless  receiver  is  built-in  the
scoreboard.

10) Run and connect the electrical service to the scoreboard and the controller.
11) Test the installed system.
