4. Clean the following items:
Filters
Cathode screws
Cathode PTFE block
5. Reassemble the cathode block and close the service area panel.
6. Run the water for a short time, then check for leaks. Remember that this panel is inter-
locked.
6.2
Cleaning the Anode Connections
In addition to the internal filters, contaminants can also build up on the anode water cooling
connections.
Inspect the anode before bakeout or as part of the routine maintenance, whichever is sooner.
Note
A spare set of HV electrodes is included in the delivery. If you suspect that the anode is leaking
or corroded, replace the electrodes. See the source manual for details of how to change the
anode.
To clean the anode connections:
1. Switch off the source and allow it to cool down.
2. Remove the protection cap from the source (see "Fitting the Protection Cap" on page 7)
3. Remove the quick hose connector.
4. Clean the hose connectors and anode tubes on the source using tissues or cotton wool tips
and water.
