The tension should be adjusted as follows, in compliance with the
instructions given in par. 4.5:
1) measure the lengthT (see figure below)
2) using a torque wrench, at the mid-point of T apply a perpendicular force F
causing a deviation f of 1.5 mm. for every 100 mm. length of T.
E.g.: T=1300 mm f=1300:100x1.5 = 19,5 mm
The resulting force must be between x1 N and x2 N. If F is less than x1 N,
tighten the belt further; if F is more than x2 N the belt is tighter than necessary
and must be slackened. Values of x1 and x2 are shown for each belt below.
