Using your VAIO computer
To choose one of the resolutions on the right (2), click on the desired resolution. You can also choose other resolutions by using
the cursor keys.
Available resolutions for the LCD and external display are:
- SXGA: 1280 x 1024 pixels, Highest (32 bit)
- UXGA: 1600 x 1200 pixels, Highest (32 bit)
Available resolutions when screen view is rotated are:
- SXGA: 1024 x 1280 pixels, Highest (32 bit)
- UXGA: 1200 x 1600 pixels, Highest (32 bit)
When the screen resolution is greater than the LCD resolution, the VAIO Virtual Desktop appears to indicate the on-screen area
of the desktop. Click on the VAIO Virtual Desktop to change the on-screen area.
On the VAIO Virtual Desktop, the following buttons are available:
Button Function
(Mouse mode)
Allows normal mouse operations.
(Move mode)
Turns the pointer into a palm. You can drag the desktop to view your
desired position. To return to Mouse mode, click the Mouse mode
button or right-click on the desktop.
(Fit mode)
Downsizes the desktop to fit it into the LCD. Click your desired
position on the desktop to display the desktop with the clicked
position in the centre of the LCD at the original screen resolution.
