Using your VAIO computer

Using special buttons

Your computer is provided with special buttons and a special switch to help you use the computer. Special buttons are also available 
on the supplied port replicator and the display/LAN adapter.

On the computer

ROTATE

 button 

:

Rotates the screen view 90 degrees clockwise. To restore the original view, press the button once again.

The 

ROTATE

 button only works when the LCD color setting is Medium (16 bit) or Highest (32 bit).

✍

To set the wallpaper for the rotated screen view, rotate the screen view first.

✍

Pressing the 

ROTATE

 button changes the resolution, thus may cause a defect to any running software that does not support 

change in resolution. Make sure to quit such software before pressing the 

ROTATE

 button.

The 

ROTATE

 button may not work with some software, or may even cause such software to malfunction.

The location and size of software windows may change when the screen view is rotated because pressing the 

ROTATE

 button 

changes the resolution.
