Using VAIO Media
123
It takes a long time for the list of contents to appear
❑
If there are many songs registered in one playlist in VAIO Media Music server, the song list may take a
long time to appear.
❑
If there are many photo files stored in one single folder in VAIO Media Photo server, the thumbnail list
of the photo files may take a long time to appear, or the photo information may not transfer from the
server computer to the client computer. In this situation, distribute the photo files among several folders.
❑
If there are many video capsules registered in a cabinet in VAIO Media Video server, the video capsule
list of the cabinet may take a long time to appear.
I cannot play some WAV-files
VAIO Media supports WAV-files that use the linear PCM Codec. WAV-files using other codecs are not
supported and cannot be played.
Some MP3 files cannot be processed correctly
VAIO Media supports only MP3 files encoded with a constant bit rate (CBR). Attempting to use MP3 files
encoded with a variable bit rate (VBR) may cause the playback to be terminated unexpectedly or the
playback time to be displayed incorrectly. In this situation, re-encode the file with a constant bit rate (CBR).
I cannot connect to the VAIO Media Video server
Sometimes VAIO Media cannot connect to the server computer in the first few minutes right after the
computer was restarted. Please wait for a while and try again.
