How do I install a printer?
Always check the printer manufacturer’s website for the latest drivers for Windows
®
Millennium Edition
before proceeding. Some printers do not function properly without updated drivers for Windows
®
Millennium Edition.
If the printer has a USB connection, the printer should be automatically installed.
To install a local printer, proceed as follows:
1 From the Start menu, select Settings , then Printers .
2 Click Add Printer .
3 Click Next .
4 Select Local Printer and click Next .
5 Select the appropriate manufacturer and model and click Next .
6 Select the appropriate port, and then click Next .
7 Click Yes to have Windows
®
-based programs use this as the default printer.
8 Click Next .
9 Click No and then click Finish .
The printer is now installed.
This procedure applies for most, but not for all printers.
I cannot print
Check that all the cables of the printer are properly connected.
Check that your printer is correctly configured and that you have up-to-date drivers. If necessary, contact
your dealer.
