Connecting two VAIO computers
You can connect your VAIO desktop to another VAIO computer using an i.LINK™ cable (not supplied). With
Smart Connect* on your VAIO desktop, you can copy, edit or delete files on another VAIO computer that has
also Windows
®
Millennium Edition installed or that has Smart Connect 3.0.
You can also print a document on a printer connected to another VAIO computer.
* You can find Smart Connect on your Applications Recovery CD-ROM.
To connect your VAIO desktop to another VAIO computer, proceed as follows:
1
Insert one end of the i.LINK™ cable (not supplied) into one of the i.LINK™ connectors on the main unit
of the VAIO desktop.
2
Connect the other end to the other VAIO computer.
When you use Smart Connect to connect two VAIO computers, you must assign each computer a unique name by which it can be identified when the
two computers are networked.
