3-13-3. S Brake Act Slide and BT Spring
Lever Assembly
1. Refer to Section 3-16 and remove the crescent slide.
2. Refer to Section 3-12-1 and remove the friction gear
assembly.
3. Slide the S brake act slide

in the direction of the
arrow

, then remove it.
4. Refer to Section 3-11 and remove the BT spring.
5. Remove the sub BT spring

6. Press the BT spring lever assembly

until it touches
the pin

, then remove it.
Assembly Notes:
1. Apply grease (VHJ-0100) to the shaft

shown in
Fig. 3-13-3, and to the BT spring lever assembly

and the S brake act slide

shown in Fig. 3-13-4.
2. After mounting the BT spring lever assembly

on
the Shaft

, hook the BT spring onto the clamp

and press it until it touches the pin

3. Make sure that the clamps
