Before Using the Terminal
Enter characters using the software keyboard
(On-screen keyboard) which appears when
you tap the character input box in a mail,
phonebook, etc.

To hide software keyboard, tap

lower left of the screen.

Note that explanations for "Xperia Japanese
keyboard" are provided in this section.
Character input method for the terminal is
set to "Xperia Japanese keyboard" by default
when the language is set to

(Japanese). Details on using Xperia Japanese

From the character entry screen,
tap
in the quick tool bar.

While entering characters, tap
at the bottom of the screen.

The Change on-screen keyboard screen
appears.

Select the input method you want
to use.

When the language is set to English, the default
keyboard is set to "Gboard". To use the Japanese
keyboard, tap [Japanese Xperia Japanese keyboard]
in Step 2.

If the input method you want use is not displayed on
the Change on-screen keyboard screen, from the
Home screen, tap [app folder]
