To set up sharing on the computer

Note
Consider all issues before
making any folder
available for sharing on
the wireless LAN.
You can let other users share drives and folders from
your computer on the wireless LAN.
The following information explains how to share
Drive C (C:), as an example. You can also set up your
computer to share other drives and folders.

Double-click My Computer on the desktop.

Right-click the C: icon, then click Properties from
the shortcut menu.
The Properties dialog box appears.

Click the Sharing tab and click Shared AS
(Windows 98 Second Edition/Windows Me) or
Share this folder (Windows 2000).

Click OK.
C: is made available for sharing on the wireless
LAN.
If you have access to the Internet via the telephone
line, proceed to the next section, “To change Internet
connection settings” on page 48 upon completion of
this setting.
If you have access to the Internet via a cable modem
(xDSL modem) or ISDN router, proceed to “Installing
software” on page 51.
