Adjustment
Checking the Screen Display Unit
You can display the test patterns automatically and repeatedly on a
specified screen display unit to check if the unit is operating properly.
This function is useful when checking on the cause of a malfunction of the
unit, or after adjusting, repairing or replacing the unit.

Establish communication with the ICU controller (page 21) and
display the MAIN MENU.

button to select SCREEN UNIT CONTROL and press
the ENTER button.
The SCREEN UNIT CONTROL menu appears.

Press the v or V button to select CHECK and press the ENTER button.
The SCREEN UNIT/CHECK menu appears.

If two or more screens are installed, select the screen number.
Press the
v

button to select SCREEN NUMBER and press the
B
or b button to change the number.

Note
If only one screen is installed, do not change SCREEN NUMBER from 1.
If a number other than 1 is set, the test pattern cannot be displayed even if
you assign the unit number correctly.

Assign the unit number.
Press the
v or V button to select X or Y of UNIT NUMBER and press
the
B
or
b
button to change the number.
By pressing the
v
button, X and Y are selected in order. By pressing
the V button, they are selected in the reverse order.

Press the ENTER button.
The test pattern is displayed on the assigned unit. The stair step and
color bars (and beam blanking for the CRT type unit only) change
automatically on the unit. Check if the unit is operating properly.
Test pattern Operating and circuit to be checked
Stair step (data of the same bit) Bit errors, etc
Color bars Data latch timing, etc.
Beam blanking Cathode switching circuit, etc. (CRT
(switching the blanking line) type unit only)
To stop the test pattern display
Press the MENU button. The display window returns to the MAIN
MENU.
Counting the unit number
The top-left unit on the screen is counted as number 1 for either horizontal
(X) or vertical (Y) direction.
X: Unit number in horizontal direction
Y: Unit number in vertical direction
