Preparing the Power Supply
Connect the power cord (supplied) to the AC adaptor
(supplied) and the DC plug of the AC adaptor to DC
IN jack on the unit. Next, connect the power plug to an
AC outlet. When you disconnect the power cord, be
sure to unplug the power cord from the AC outlet first.
PRECAUTION
Even if this unit is turned off, AC power (house
current) is still supplied to it while connected to the
wall outlet via the AC adapter.
Notes
• Never short-circuit the DC plug of the AC adaptor
with a metal object. A short circuit can damage the
unit.
• Use a nearby wall outlet when using the AC adaptor.
Disconnect the AC adaptor from the wall outlet
immediately if any malfunction occurs.
• Do not use the AC adaptor placed in a narrow space,
such as between a wall and furniture.
[CLOCK SET] screen appears when you turn on the
unit for the first time.
Refer to page 54 on how to set the date and time.

• Do not insert the cassette forcibly. The unit may be
damaged.
• Do not eject/load the cassette in a place subject to
light. Close Cassette Lid when the unit is in use. The
internal sensor of the unit may operate incorrectly if
too much light falls on the unit.

With the unit powered on, confirm that

indicator is off, then open Cassette Lid.

After checking the tape for slack, hold the cassette
so that the tape window is facing upward, then
insert it into the unit.
The tape is inserted into the unit automatically.
