1.2.
Affiliate:
any corporation, company or other entity that directly or indirectly
controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with, Skype. For the purpose
of this definition, the word “control” shall mean the direct or indirect ownership of
more than fifty percent (50%) of the outstanding voting stock of the corporation,
company, or other entity.
1.3.
Agreement:
means the agreement between Skype Communications Sarl and You
for the use of the VoIP service;
1.4.
Emergency Service:
means services that connect a user to emergency services
personnel or public safety answering points pursuant to applicable local and or
national regulatory requirements;
1.5.
End User License Agreement:
means the End User License Agreement between
Skype Software Sarl and You for the license to use the Skype Software;
1.6.
Password:
refers to a code You select, which, in combination with the User ID,
gives You access to Your Account;
1.7.
PSTN User:
refers to a user of the Public Switched Telephone Network;
1.8.
Skype:
refers to the entity Skype Communications Sarl, with its address at 15,
rue Notre Dame, L-2240 Luxembourg, Luxembourg, reg.no, (B100468), VAT no.
(LU20180340);
1.9.
Skype Credit:
means the payment method that can be used to purchase VoIP
service and any other services or products that Skype may add thereto from time to
time;
1.10.
Skype Group:
means the Skype Group Administrator and the group of users
designated by the Skype Group Administrator;
1.11.
Skype Group Account:
means the account of the Skype Group for the payment of
the VoIP service and allocation of credit to the members of the Skype Group;
1.12.
Skype Group Administrator:
means the administrator(s) of Skype Group Service
who: pays for the VoIP service; designates the members of a Skype Group;
designates other Skype Group Administrators and allocates credit to Skype Group
members;
1.13.
Skype Group member Accounts
means the accounts of individual members of a
Skype Group which are administered by a Skype Group Administrator or by Skype
Group Administrators;
1.14.
Skype Group Service:
means the service provided by Skype which allows the
Skype Group Administrator to pay for the VoIP service on behalf of the Skype
Group members and to allocate credit to Skype Group member Accounts for the
use of defined VoIP service;
1.15.
SkypeIn number:
means the number as defined by the relevant national
numbering plan, distributed to You either by Skype or the SkypeIn number
provider, for the use of SkypeIn;
1.16.
SkypeIn number provider:
means a service provider who has the license to
allocate numbers in the country where such numbers have been issued and with
whom Skype has entered into an agreement for the allocation of numbers to You;
1.17.
SkypeIn:
means the product consisting of the SkypeIn number and the ability to
receive calls in such number;
1.18.
SkypeOut:
means the service which enables You to make calls to PSTN Users;
1.19.
Skype Software:
means the software distributed by Skype for internet
communication applications, enabling You to use the VoIP service, including
without limitation any subsequent programming fixes, updates, upgrades and new
versions of such software;
1.20.
Skype Staff:
the officers, directors, employees and agents of Skype or its Affiliates,
or any other persons hired by Skype or its Affiliates.
