VTR constants are data that define the basic
operating conditions of VTRs. Constants for VTRs
and other devices likely to be used with this
system are stored in system memory as internal
data. Normally the system is able to use status
signals from the VTR to detect the device type
and apply the appropriate constant to control the
VTR, even if you do not specify the device type
during setup.
If the VTR cannot be controlled satisfactorily using
the standard internal data, or if you connect a
VTR for which there is no internal data, use the
procedure explained below to set a VTR constant.
VTR CONST USRnn (nn: 01 to 10)
Selects a VTR number.
Select by pressing the ALL STOP button, and
confirm by pressing the ENTER button. The
system automatically moves on to selection of the
next step, block number selection.
USR-nn BLOCK-n (n: 1 to 3)
Selects a block number.
Select by pressing the ALL STOP button, and
confirm by pressing the ENTER button. The
system automatically moves on to selection of the
next step, byte number selection and data entry.
