Editing Operations
Setting Split Edit Points
Split editing is insert mode editing in which the video and audio
IN point are set separately.
The BVE-700 allows you to select either the video IN point or the
audio IN point as the base point in split editing. However, when
you select the video IN point as the base point, separate audio IN
points cannot be set on each audio channel.
The difference between the video IN point and the audio IN point
is called the split offset. The maximum split offset is 59 seconds
and 29 frames.
Note
Split edit points can be set only on the recorder or the player
selected in the A row of the SOURCE section.
This section provides an example that shows how to set the IN
point for a split edit based on audio (the OUT point can be set in
the same way as in normal edits). The target VTR is player 1.
