1-6-5. Connection of the RS-232C/422A
Connectors
The respective RS-232C/422A connectors (D-sub 9-pin)
on the connector panel can be set to either RS-422A (M)
interface, RS-422A (S) interface or RS-232C interface
depending on the connections of the connectors as de-
scribed below.
The connections can be set individually on each connector.

These connectors are connected to the respective RS-232C/
422A connectors on the connector panel.

Do not change the positions of these connectors.
CN42, CN52, CN62, CN72, CN82, CN92
: For RS-232C setting
Connect these connectors when the respective RS-232C/
422A connectors on the connector panel are used as the
RS-232C ports.

When the setting connector is connected to this mode, the
red connector of the setting connector can be confirmed
through the slot.

When making cable connections from other equipment to
the connectors on the connector panel, confirm that the
RS-232C signal names of this connector (Refer to “1-6-3.
Signal Inputs/Outputs”) and the signal names of the
connector of other equipment.
CN43, CN53, CN63, CN73, CN83, CN93
: For RS-422A (M) setting
Connect these connectors when the respective RS-232C/
422A connectors on the connector panel are used as the
RS-422A controlling devices. (Factory setting)
CN44, CN54, CN64, CN74, CN84, CN94
: For RS-422A (S) setting
Connect these connectors when the respective RS-232C/
422A connectors on the connector panel are used as the
RS-422A controlled devices.
Setting Procedure
1.
Unhold the wire holder.
2.
Disconnect the (red) setting connector coming from
the (black) RS-232C/422A connection connector.
Re-connect the (red) setting connector to the desired
connector in accordance with the signal format.

Pay attention to the edge of connector panel when discon-
necting the connectors.
It can give wound on your fingers.
Hold the harness securely and disconnect the connectors
slowly.
3.
Clamp the harnesses with the wire holder.
